All of my professors (I don't even think I should be calling most of them that...just a habit) at this freaking school seem to enable my laziness. Late hw? No problem. Heck, one teacher gave me extra credit on my late hw that I took the answers straight out of the book. Got an A on a paper I bullshitted in less than an hour doing the minimum length. Got an email about a project saying 'as it stands you have a B, but if you do this (nothing too hard) I'll give you an A'. I mean, I kinda like not having to do much for classes I don't really care about, but this is friggin ridiculous.
So anyway, there is this field trip lecture/dinner thing that one of my classes is doing next week. It costs $15, is in Salem and starts about an hour before the actual class normally does (around rush hour at that). So I, having no intention of going, email my professor and tell him I am unable to make it (he had said something about paying for the ppl who hadn't paid and us paying him...i didn't want that to happen). I got an email back from him. It was actually funny cuz it had no structure and a few "...", but anyway it said something like "I'm sorry to hear that...instead, write a five page paper on viruses with at least 3 sources...due October 28th!'
I hate writing papers...and 5 is just long enough that I will have to do some work (up to 3 I can usually bs pretty good). But I must say, it is kinda nice to have a professor I can take seriously, and know that he's actually going to make me do something for my grade.

So...yeah. 日本語能力試験 about 2 months away. I really gotta get on that. I mean I'm already relatively ignoring all my classes for it, but still. I could be doing so much more. I'm just too lazy...and of course, thanks to a kid from work I have even more reason to be lazy...
Anyway, aside from that...I'm kinda starting to get sick of things around here. Nothing in particular has happened. I just...am starting to tire of living with the family, commuting to a crappy community college, and serving old people food alongside a bunch of crazies...many of whom are often pissed off for no real reason.
The only real interesting thing that happens these days is going into Cambridge to talk with my language partners. I still meet with Jon sometimes. He's nice, but kinda boring. Hiromi, my new partner is super awesome. I'm really glad they gave me a girl. We might be going apple picking on Sunday. I also suggested we go to Salem (Interestingly enough, I don't believe I've ever been to Salem...how sad is that?)
Oh yeah, I've also changed my mind once again. Seeing as I really just want to get my bachelor's and be done with it, I will probably return to UMass Amherst next fall (after I finish my A.S. in Diet Tech). I'm thinking I could finish a Linguistics & Japanese major in a year and a half. Geez, talk about coming full circle...when I first started at UMass, way back when I was 17, I was a Japanese major. Now, after all that, it looks like I just may be graduating UMass as a Japanese major. ^_^

All I want to do is watch my NewS DVD!!!!! But no, the world fucking hates me. First, I tried just about everything I could to make my current DVD players support Region 2. No such luck, so I decided to suck it up and spend $50 to get an All Region player. It finally came today, but apparently it isn't All Region until you enter the code in with the remote...and guess what...THE REMOTE WON'T FUCKING WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fucking bullshit. Mind you, I got maybe 2 hours of sleep last night, got up at 7am, had a test at 9 followed by a shitty class, a trip to Boston, then back to school for another shitty class and it is now 10:30pm.
